Is there a registration fee?

No, to register for classes simply click on the reserve button and follow instructions to reserve your seat.

What are the different classes offered at Saturday Artday?

Saturday Artday offers group classes, grouped by age, and individual lessons to kids and teens between the ages of 5-18.

What are the group class sizes?

Saturday Artday offers group classes up to 10 students per class.

What art techniques will I learn?

Saturday Artday instructs classes in drawing and painting techniques. Sketching is a part of each class session. Typically, each student works independently moving across mediums from charcoal and pastels to acrylic and watercolor painting. Lessons focus on 2D design and may use mixed media applications.

Who will be my instructor?

Maricel Ruiz is the instructor for all classes and individual lessons. She holds an MFA and is a professional artist. She has 10+ years of experience working as the lead art instructor at Priscilla & Tiffany's Art Academy in Miami and taught middle school for Miami Dade County Public Schools. In fall 2024, she will begin as the new art teacher at Tradition Preparatory High School in Port St. Lucie.

Do I have to reserve my seat online only?

No, you may reserve your seat by emailing saturdayartday@gmail.com. Please make sure to include the student's name and age so we may reserve your seat accordingly.

Do you accept other forms of payment?

Yes, you may reserve your seat by emailing saturdayartday@gmail.com and pay in person the day of class. We accept cash and checks. Make checks payable to: Saturday Artday. Please note: We do not carry cash, so if you are paying with cash plan on bringing exact change.
